  • HPP270 probe SW version 1.3.6 or above
  • Computer with Vaisala Insight software installed
  • Vaisala USB connection cable (item code 242659) or Vaisala Indigo USB adapter (item code USB2)
You can configure the H2O2 levels at which the Low H2O2 threshold feature is activated and deactivated, and the related delays, with Insight PC software. For an overview of the functionality, see H2O2 concentration reading when not exposed to H2O2.
Figure 1. Insight Low H2O2 threshold configuration menu
1
Enable or disable the Low H2O2 threshold feature (disabled by default).
2
Activation level (in ppmH2O2). Default: 3 ppm. See H2O2 concentration reading when not exposed to H2O2.
3
Activation delay (seconds). Default: 1800 seconds (30 minutes).
4
Deactivation level (in ppmH2O2). Default: 10 ppm. See H2O2 concentration reading when not exposed to H2O2.
5
Deactivation delay (seconds). Default: 10 seconds.
  1. Connect to Insight (for instructions, see Connecting to Insight software).
  2. Select > Configure device > Low H₂O₂ threshold.
  3. Enable the Low H2O2 threshold feature by sliding the selection switch to the right.
When enabled, the Low H2O2 threshold feature remains in use also after probe reset.
  4. In the Activation level field, define the H2O2 level where the Low H2O2 threshold Activation delay starts.
  5. In the Activation delay field, define how long it takes for the output to be forced to zero after the H2O2 measurement falls below the Activation level value.
  6. In the Deactivation level field, define the H2O2 level where the Low H2O2 threshold Deactivation delay starts.
  7. In the Deactivation delay field, define how long the H2O2 measurement must remain above the Deactivation level before normal measurement output is resumed.
  8. Take the settings into use by selecting Save.

Example: Low H2O2 threshold feature activated at 3 ppm and deactivated at 10 ppm

  1. Activation level is set as 3 ppm H2O2 and Activation delay as 1800 seconds (30 minutes).
  2. Deactivation level is set as 10 ppm H2O2 and Deactivation delay as 10 seconds.
  3. When the measurement falls below the 3 ppm Activation level, the Activation delay of 30 minutes starts. During the 30-minute Activation delay, all measurements (whether within or outside of the configured activation levels) are output normally.
  4. After the 30-minute Activation delay has passed, the H2O2 output is forced to 0 ppm.
  5. The measurement output stays forced to 0 ppm until the actual measurement remains over the Deactivation level of 10 ppm for the set Deactivation delay of 10 seconds.
  6. When the measurement has remained over 10 ppm for 10 seconds, normal output resumes.
Note that the instant change from the forced 0 ppm output to the actual measurement can cause a quick increase in the measurement output reading.
