If the computer running BL-View is not connected to the Internet, you must activate the license using an another online computer and then transfer the license file to the BL-View computer.

Before you begin, make sure that you have, for example, a USB drive for storing the license file obtained and transferring it to another computer.
  1. When License Manager opens, select Continue.
  2. Type the product key. The product key is in the cover letter. Select Continue.
  3. A window opens with the message that there is no connection.
    1. Write down the product key and the request code shown, or select Save codes as txt to save the codes as a TXT file on a media that you can take with you, for example a USB drive.
    2. Do not close the License Manager window, you will later on need to upload the license file with License Manager.
  4. Take the USB drive with you and go to another computer that is connected to Internet, and go to https://licensing.vaisala.com.
  5. In Login Using, select Product Key and type the product key. Select Login.
  6. In the window that opens, select Product Details > Activate (orange button).
  7. Type the request code in Primary 1 info and select Generate.

    If the request code contains an asterisk, make sure to include it.

    The license file is generated.

  8. Select Save to File to save the license file (lservrc) to a media that you can transfer to the system, for example a USB drive.
  9. Take the USB drive with you and go back to the computer where the License Manager window is still open.
  10. To load the license file to the system, select Upload.
  11. Browse to the location where the license file is stored and select Open.
  12. The green icon indicates that the upload was successful. Select Continue.
  13. After a successful activation, a window is displayed listing the activated features. Check that the installed features match your license.
  14. To exit License Manager, select Quit.
  15. To complete and verify the installation, restart your computer and open BL-View: Start > ( > All Programs > ) > Vaisala > BL-View > BL-View.
