Before you start to erect the mast, install the winch on the mast. See Installing Winch on Mast.
- Take a good grasp of the winch handle.
- Check that the wire between the winch and the wire hook is tight. If there is slack wire, tighten it by turning the handle clockwise.
-
To start winching, turn the handle clockwise.
When turning the winch handle clockwise to erect the mast, the winch gives a clicking sound. The clicking indicates that the load is engaged and the winch operates correctly.
WARNING If the winch does not give a clicking sound when erecting the mast, turn the handle from two to three times in the Up direction. If there is still no sound, do not operate the winch. - After erecting the mast, secure the mast flange and connect the guy wire. For more information, see DKP206/210 User's Guide.
- Remove the winch from the mast by performing the steps in Installing Winch on Mast in reverse order.
