  1. For correct winch orientation, check the Up label on the winch.
  2. Aim the hole of the winch to the tap on the mast.
  3. Pull the straps around the mast towards the clamps.
  4. Close the clamps.

  5. To secure the clamps, insert the locking pins.
    WARNING The winch may break or fall during operation if not installed properly. Secure the clamps with locking pins.
  6. Attach the shackle to the plate lug of the mast pedestal.

  7. Attach the winch hook to the plate lug of the lifting rod.

    If you are installing the winch on a mast that is erected, the plate lug of the lifting rod is next to the mast.
