Perform a basic check of DSC once a year before winter. Preventive maintenance includes:

  • Checking that there are no outer damages in the device, cables, or connectors.
  • Checking that the sensor is aimed at the wheel track. The wheel track may change its place over the winter. To check that the sensor is aimed at the desired area on the road surface, look along the straight part of the edge of the weather shield.
  • Cleaning the sensor. If the sensor gets easily dirty due to the installation location, regular cleaning is advised.
  • Calibrating the sensor, if needed.
  • If the sensor reports irregular values and calibration does not help, adjust sensor signal strength.
This document provides instructions for those maintenance tasks that can be done using the Web UI. For complete maintenance instructions and the related safety instructions, see DSC211 User Guide (M211651EN).
