If you use a computer that does not have an
RS‑232 serial port, use the USB‑to‑RS‑232 converter cable that is provided for a local
connection to the weather station. To use the converter cable, you must install Vaisala USB
Device Driver.
Vaisala USB Device Driver is included in the
documentation and software USB drive for the weather station.

Insert the USB drive in a USB port on your computer.

Run the setup program for the Vaisala USB Device Driver.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

When the driver installation is complete, connect the USB cable to a free USB port on
your computer.
Allow the operating system to detect the driver for the cable automatically.

To check which port has been assigned to the USB serial port, launch the Vaisala USB
Device Finder program from the Start menu.
