Warning Make sure that you prepare or connect only de-energized wires.
CAUTION Do not damage or change the wiring. Incorrect wiring can cause damage and prevent or limit operation.
For the location of the ports, see Figure 1.
  1. For data input, bring a cable from a runway lighting system switch or relay through the DATA INPUT port, and connect the cable to the terminal block.
  2. For data output, you can use Ethernet, RS‑485, or RS‑232 communication.
    Option Instructions
    Ethernet/LAN

    An Ethernet cable (3 m / 9 ft 10 in) ) is included in the delivery.

    1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port.
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to a network switch such as Vaisala Central Data Unit Rack CDU401.
    RS‑485
    1. Bring one end of the cable through the RS485/232 port, and connec the cable to the terminal block with 2 wires.
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the port server, for example, in CDU401.
    RS‑232
    1. Bring one end of the cable through the RS485/232 port, and connect the cable to the terminal block with 3 wires.
    2. Connect the other end of the cable, for example, to the port server in CDU401 or to a leased line modem such as DXL421.
