This document describes the new features and improvements in release 4.10 of Vaisala Observation Network Manager NM10.
New features and improvements
- NM10 device support was extended with the following Lufft sensors and devices: VS2k, ANACON, WS200, WS400, IRS31PRO, NIRS31, and V200A
- NM10 Apache Tomcat was updated to version 9.0.97
- Application Subscription and View Subscription start and end dates were removed from the Admin panel
- Several UX libraries were updated, including React 18.3.1 and Axios 1.7.7
Fixes
- Fixed the issue with Linux update sometimes failing with large databases
- Fixed the issue with Public API returning only 1 observation per parameter with GET / measurements call
Security enhancements
Some data security checks and improvements were completed as applicable and recommended by Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®). A list of common identifiers for publicly known cybersecurity vulnerabilities is available in https://cve.mitre.org/.
Upgradeability
- Upgrading from NM10 version 4.x: The new release version can be installed on top of the currently installed version.
- Upgrading from NM10 version 3.9 and prior: Configuration migration tool is included in the release package. With the tool it is possible to export Network Manager configurations from existing 3.9 version and import the configurations to a new version (4.7 or later). Configuration migration tool currently exports site configurations, admin panel configurations, and configuration files.
