The human layer focuses on the human element: the users of RWS200.

Each person who accesses RWS200 Web UI should have a personal account on the RWS200 with the correct role. This helps prevent issues that can arise from shared accounts, such as leaked passwords.

The different roles have the following permissions:

  • user: Can view the observations and generate event reports and station summary reports from the Web UI.
  • administrator: Can view the observations, create, and modify user accounts and pages in the Web UI, modify component configuration, station settings, and WLAN settings.
  • superUser: The same as administrator but does not have the rights to access user management or WLAN settings.

Make sure that users have the necessary access rights to perform their tasks without compromising security.

RWS200 is delivered with default user and administrator accounts. To prevent unauthorized access, change the default passwords when configuring the station for the first time.

The same applies to the cellular router and fixed camera. The passwords must be strong and unique.
