Starting with firmware version 5.3.0, the AP10 Wireless Access Point allows you to change the SSL/TLS certificate that secures the web interface. By default, the HTTPS connection of the web interface is secured by self-signed certificate. Even though the connection is encrypted, your browser warns you that the certificate is not trusted by your system.
For instructions on how to update the certificate and remove the warning, see Replacing the web interface certificate.
Use a Certificate Authority (CA) that is trusted by your systems to create the certificate. If the CA is not trusted by the systems that access the web interface of AP10, or if you self-sign the certificate without making the certificate trusted on these systems, the browser warning will continue to appear. Follow the policies and procedures of your organization regarding the generation and use of digital certificates. |
The web interface is present on AP10 devices that are intended for use with the viewLinc Enterprise Server monitoring software. Certificate management is not available on the cloud-connected AP10 variant. |
