Floating (not connected) = RS-485 Grounded = Analog outputs If you want to be able to trigger or prevent sensor purge manually in analog mode, do not connect pin #5 permanently to ground. Instead, use a relay or similar to control the pin. The purge-related functionality of pin #5 can be configured using Vaisala Insight PC software, Indigo80 indicator, or the Modbus protocol.
