  • Allen key
  • 4G SIM card (if the current SIM card does not support 4G connectivity)
  1. Power down the station.
  2. Remove the enclosure cover.
  3. Disconnect cabling from the 3G modem.
  4. Remove the 3G modem from the enclosure.

    Lift and pull the modem away from the DIN rail to the direction shown in the following figure.

    The modem is tightly attached. Pull firmly to release the modem.
  5. Remove the DIN rail holder from the 3G modem.
  6. Remove the SIM card from the 3G modem.
  7. Insert the new 4G SIM card to the 4G modem so that the circuit side faces up. Use a tool, for example a small screwdriver, to push the SIM card in so that the card snaps to position.

    You can use the old SIM card if it supports 4G connectivity.

  8. Attach the DIN rail holder to the 4G modem.
  9. Connect cabling to the 4G modem.
  10. Attach the 4G modem to the DIN rail inside the modem enclosure.
  11. Close the enclosure cover.
  12. Power up the station. This may take a while.
  13. Configure the cellular modem settings in the weather station configuration.
