Important information

This document is a quick guide for installation of the RFL100 VaiNet Wireless Data Logger with viewLinc Cloud or Jade Smart Cloud monitoring systems. For the complete user guide, see RFL100 Data Logger User Guide (M211861EN) available at docs.vaisala.com.

 

  • The RFL100 devices delivered to you have been preconfigured at the factory to connect to your cloud-based monitoring system.
  • The data loggers in the delivery will automatically connect through the delivered access point(s). You do not have to enable installation mode on the access point(s) or accept the devices in your monitoring system.
  • The Release button of the data logger is disabled so it cannot be used to release the data logger from the system.
  • The maximum sleep interval of the radio power saving feature is 1 hour, as opposed to the 8 hours when viewLinc Enterprise Server is used. If the data logger is not connected to an access point, it will power on the radio once every hour to scan for access point connections.

Start the installation of RFL100 by performing the appropriate setup procedure, and continue by mounting the device and its probes in the installation location:
