Install the device as instructed in WM80 Setup Guide (M212994EN).

The device must be installed at minimum in a lightning protection zone LPZ0B.

If you use the mounting adapter in the maritime environment, separate external grounding is not required because sufficient grounding is achieved by grounding the cable shield.

External lightning protection is required to protect the device from direct lightning strikes.

CAUTION To prevent equipment damage, install an air terminal so that the tip is as high above the instruments and sensors as possible.

To protect the system from lightning-induced surges, use shielded cables and metal cable conduits between units and terminate all with direct connections to the electronics housing and from the housing to the ground.
