Before starting, locate the emergency shower.
  • Refractometer
  • 18‑mm wrench
Follow these instructions to install the refractometer into the retractor. Contact Vaisala technical support for further assistance if needed.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the safety instructions of the installation site.
  2. Make sure the isolation valve is closed.
  3. Place the refractometer into the retractor. Make sure the cable glands on the refractometer are in a downward position.
  4. Rotate the hand wheel until it stops.
    CAUTION Do not force the wheel.
  5. Open the isolation valve.
  6. Rotate the hand wheel until it stops.
  7. Install the nuts and tighten them using a 18-mm wrench.
