  • Gasket
  • 13‑mm wrench (for flange bolts)
These are general instructions for mounting the refractometer. Plan the process‑specific installation according to your requirements. Contact Vaisala technical support for further assistance if needed.
  1. Familiarize yourself with the installation site safety instructions.
  2. Make sure the process line is depressurized and empty.
  3. Weld the flange half into the tank bottom.
  4. Mount the refractometer and tighten the flange bolts with a 13‑mm wrench to 17 Nm. Make sure the gasket is in place and the cable glands on the refractometer are in a downward position.
  5. Make sure the refractometer is firmly in place and that there is no excessive vibration.
