  1. Connect the DB9-USB cable (2) to the Serial (DTE) port on the Digi IX20 modem (1).
  2. Connect the USB end of the cable to a USB port on the viewLinc server (3).
  3. On the desktop of the viewLinc server, verify the COM port number of the connection:
    1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
    2. Go to Device Manager.
    3. Select Ports (COM & LPT).
    4. Locate the serial port and make note of the port number.
