Don't factory reset the IX20.
  1. Log in to viewLinc Enterprise Server as an administrator user.
  2. Select System Preferences > SMS Settings > SMS modem and then complete the SMS modem settings:
    SMS COM port
    Enter the COM port number of your SMS modem. If you are setting up an SMS web service, this port must allow access to the internet.
    Baud rate
    Set the baud rate to 115200.
    SIM Card PIN number
    Enter the PIN number (if required) to receive incoming messages.
  3. Send a test message to verify the SMS modem configuration:
    1. Select Send Test SMS.
    2. Enter the mobile phone number of an existing viewLinc user and send the message.
    3. Verify that the message is sent and received successfully. Note that it may take a minute for the message to be delivered. If the SMS test message is not sent, adjust the settings until the test message is sent successfully.
  4. Select Save to complete the SMS modem configuration.
