Only perform this task if you are certain that the Digi IX20 either has its configuration backed up to an accessible file or its default device configuration has been set. If neither of these are true, erasing the configuration means you will have to manually reconfigure the IX20, which requires the assistance of Vaisala Support.
To erase the configuration either:
  • Press the ERASE button on the device's exterior, or
  • Log in to the device's web UI as a user with full Admin access rights, and do the following steps:
    1. In the main menu, select System > Configuration Maintenance.
    2. In the Configuration Maintenance window, select the Erase button in the Erase configuration section.
    3. Select the Confirm button. The IX20 will automatically reboot.
The device configuration will revert to the default device configuration if it has been set up. Any automatically generated certificates and keys should still be there; do not press the exterior ERASE button a second time unless you want to remove them too.
