The plug‑in module locations in DMU801 slots must be in accordance with the software configuration. If you insert a module into a wrong slot, the module does not break but it may function incorrectly.

  1. Remove the sensor connectors from the plug‑in module you are going to replace.
  2. Unscrew the 2 finger screws in the plug‑in module.
  3. Remove the plug‑in module from DMU801 by pulling from the module edges.
CAUTION When removing or inserting the modules, be careful not to bend the connector pins.
  4. Place the new plug‑in module in the same DMU801 slot you removed the old one from.
  5. Gently press the module down until the handles contact the frame. Do not use force.
  6. Tighten the finger screws by hand or, alternatively, use a crosshead PH1 screwdriver.
The recommended maximum torque is 1.0 Nm. If you use a tool and tighten to over 0.8 Nm, it may be difficult to unscrew the screws with fingers only.
If the screws do not tighten properly, check that the module is pressed all the way down.
  7. Insert the sensor connectors in the new plug‑in module, in the same order as they were in the replaced module.
  8. Check that the sensor connections are working, and the data reports show data from each sensor.

Plug‑in modules have LEDs that blink green once a minute to indicate that the modules are functional.
