DME801 adds 5 Ethernet connections to DMU801. Its 1 Gb Ethernet connectors include 3 copper ports and 2 slots for fiber optic SFP module.
The small form-factor pluggable (SFP) is a compact, hot-pluggable transceiver used for data communications applications. SFP interfaces a switch to a fiber-optic or copper networking cable. SFP type depends on delivery specifications and on the type of the fiber.
| DMU801 base unit has an Ethernet interface (port X1 eth0), too. If you need an additional Ethernet connection, use DME801. |
