In standard AWS810 Solar Edition installations, the sensors and solar panel are installed on a mast and connected to the central enclosure that houses the DMU801 data management unit and electrical components. Some of the sensors are installed remotely on a solar power plant's solar panels.
A wall mount set for the AWS810 enclosure is also available.
A standard AWS810 installation consists of the following items:
- Enclosure ENC652 that houses electrical components and an optional pressure sensor
- DMU801 data management unit
- Mast and 1 or 2 support arms
- Sensors attached to mast or support arm, or placed on the surrounding terrain
- Cabling
- Communication equipment
- Power supply components: solar panel, AC (mains) input, and batteries
- Installation and mounting accessories
AWS810 stores the data locally in the DMU801 data management unit's internal eMMc Flash memory. The data can be transferred for storage and further analysis through the following connections:
- Cellular modem
- Ethernet cable (copper/fiber optic)
- RS-232/RS-485 serial line
A built-in monitoring system also continuously checks the hardware, and reports immediately if a fault occurs.
