You can view various diagnostic and measurement values in the Diagnostics menu. From Indigo520 software version 1.16.2 onwards, you can find the Diagnostics menu from Menu > <your refractometer> > Diagnostics. In older software versions the Diagnostics view is the fourth Home view.

In Diagnostics, you can perform the following actions:
  • Take a Field sample.
    • Field sample is a function to record a point in the measurement data. To avoid unnecessary noise, the field sample is an average of 10 seconds of the measurement data.
    • Field sample is a sample of the calculated average of 10 consequent measurements.
    • When triggered simultaneously with a laboratory sample collection, the field sample point can be used for calibration against a laboratory reference.
    • The samples are shown in a window so that they can be recorded for later use.
Recording samples needs to be done manually, by taking a note or a photo.
  • Start a Prism wash.
    • Activate a configured prism wash.
    • View any configured prism washes and drainings.
    • See diagnostics of the previous prism wash.
