Concentration curve is the theoretical concentration curve based on RI and temperature. It is defined by a set of 16 parameters, C-parameters.
A concentration curve is specific to the given process medium, for example, sucrose or sodium hydroxide. The set of parameters is given by Vaisala. Do not alter the C-parameters, except if you are changing to another process medium.
The refractometer is able to hold 4 different concentration curves in its memory. The used concentration curve can be switched using the Indigo520 transmitter, Vaisala Insight software, HART, or Modbus RTU write function.
The primary method for correcting the concentration measurement is field adjustment. However, in some cases the linear field adjustment may not be enough and the C-parameters may require fine-tuning. In this case, contact Vaisala help desk for support. Concentration curve contains also other information besides the C-parameters (for example, measurement unit, valid concentration and temperature ranges, and similar). |
