The measurement prism (6) is flush-mounted to the surface of the probe tip. The prism (6) and all the other optical components are fixed to the solid CORE‑Module (4), which is springloaded (3) against the prism gasket (8). The light source (5) is a yellow LED, emitting light with 589 nm wavelength (Sodium D-line wavelength), which is a standard in refractive index values in literature. The main circuit board (1) receives the raw data from the CCD Charge Coupled Device (2) and the process temperature sensor (7), and then calculates the refractive index RI, the process temperature T, and process concentration according to a predefined concentration curve. This information is transmitted to the user with integrated analog output channel, digital Modbus RTU, or Indigo520 transmitter.
