The netCDF files are generated automatically to a folder of your choice. To set up the file data transfer, use DA10 Client.

The same location is used for files of all your DA10 instruments. DA10 Client generates a subfolder for the files of each instrument.

The files are stored in the folders when you have the computer and DA10 Client open.

  1. In the Web UI, go to Settings > Station parameters
  2. Select data_transfer_service, and set an API key.

Use a unique API key for authentication.

In the DMU Web UI, change only those settings and parameters that are instructed in the DA10 documentation. Leave the other settings and parameters as they are.
  3. Select Save and restart script.
  4. Install DA10 Client on your computer.
    1. Download DA10 Client from docs.vaisala.com.
    2. Unzip file DA10 Client <version>.zip on your computer.
    3. To open DA10 Client, double-click file DA10Client.exe.
  5. In DA10 Client, select Connections and fill in the following information.
    Device URL

    Format: https://<eth0 IP address>.

Use the IP address you defined in the Web UI (Settings > Network > eth0).

    API key
Use the API key that you added to the Web UI (Settings > Station parameters > data_transfer_service).
    Device identifier
Choose an identifier for your DA10 (for example, DA10_1).
  6. Select Settings and select a folder for the data files and for the visualization files.

The data files are generated for water vapor mixing ratio and attenuated backscatter.

The visualization files are generated for water vapor mixing ratio only.

The file generation interval is defined with parameter file_temporal_span_in_minutes. You can check the value of the parameter from the netCDF files (global attributes) and from the Web UI (Settings > Station parameters > netcdf).

For further configuration instructions and instructions about the data reporting and operation, see DA10 User Guide (M212895EN).
