After mounting and wiring the transmitter, do these final steps to have your transmitter ready for use.
  1. Verify the tightness of the cable glands. Pull on the cable to verify that the cable is securely held by the cable gland.
  2. To ensure that the transmitter operates as intended, Vaisala recommends grounding the transmitter. Connect the grounding terminal on the bottom of the transmitter to the grounding element of the installation site with a grounding wire.
  3. Switch on the power supply input.
  4. Connect the probe to the transmitter.
  5. If you want your transmitter to get error log time stamps and calibration reminders for the connected probe, connect the transmitter to the Insight PC software or the Indigo80 handheld indicator for automatic date and time setup.
Date and time setup is needed for calibration reminders and error log time stamping to work.
