Activate the device at the installation location.

| 1. Open the Vaisala Cast Connect mobile application and select Connect to device. Hold the phone close to the NFC symbol and wait until the device and phone are paired with Bluetooth. |
2. Select the Measurements tab to view the device measurements. |
3. Check the Connection tab and wait until the cloud connection is established. Establishing the cloud connection may take several minutes. |

| 4. Select Start activation. | 5. Follow the onscreen instructions. Test the signal quality and add the installation information. |
6. Select Activate to complete the activation. The device is sending measurements to the cloud. |

TempCast devices with firmware versions older than 3.0.0 do not support the signal quality test. Do not install them without testing the signal quality with a newer device. You can check the device firmware version in the mobile application from Device settings. |

To relocate device or change activation information, connect to the device with Vaisala Cast Connect, and deactivate and activate the device again. |
