Replace the NTC resistor when replacing
BMU801 or if the resistor is broken.
If you have 2 batteries, replace the NTC
resistor first for one battery, then for the other.
-
Detach the battery connector from BMU801.
-
To detach the NTC resistor:
-
Insert a 1.5‑mm flat head screwdriver in the slot next to the resistor wire in the
NTC connector.
-
Push the screwdriver to the bottom of the slot and, at the same time, pull the wire
out of the connector with your other hand.
Repeat for the other wire.
-
Disconnect the other end of the NTC resistor from the battery.
-
Attach the wires of the new NTC resistor to BMU801.
-
Connect the other end to the battery.

Make sure that you connect the battery
cable and the corresponding NTC resistor cable to the same battery:
- Battery cable from BMU801 connector
Batt 1 and the NTC cable next to it to the first battery.
- Battery cable from BMU801 connector
Batt 2 and the NTC cable next to it to the second battery (if you have a second battery in
the system).
