Flat head screwdriver (maximum size 2.5 mm)

Select the battery capacity with the BMU801 rotary switch according to the battery in your system. BMU801 automatically detects if there are 1 or 2 batteries connected. The connected batteries should have the same capacity. This means that even if there are 2 batteries, you only need to select the capacity once.

The default switch position set at the factory is 4 (26 (±10 %) Ah battery).

CAUTION Make sure that you select the same capacity as the battery in your system has. Incorrect selection can cause damage to the battery and prevent or limit operation.
If BMU801 is preinstalled in your system, the battery capacity is typically selected already at the factory.
Using a flat head screwdriver (max. 2.5 mm), turn the rotary switch until the arrow points to the desired position.
If you find it difficult to operate the rotary switch while BMU801 is mounted on a DIN rail with other components close to it, remove BMU801 from the DIN rail.

External control (battery capacity is configured by an external host device). Select this option if you have DMU801 data management unit in your system connected to BMU801 through Modbus.
