The BMU801 Reset button is used for resetting the battery SoC (state of charge) counter after replacing the battery.
Resetting is not needed if you disconnect a battery and reconnect the same battery.

After you have connected the new battery:

Press the Reset button in the BMU801 front panel with a small pin.

The battery LEDs display an animation for approximately 1 minute, during which the 3 LEDs are blinking in orange one at a time. Then the LEDs display the current SoC. If there is no DC power available, the LEDs go into power saving mode (all 3 LED indicators are blank).
