Example rule for an alert for
temperature, with critical and moderate high and low limits, an alert deactivation margin,
and an activation delay.
Select Measurements in the navigation menu.
Select the desired measurement location.
Select the three-dot menu on the parameter card.
Select Link.
The Create & link alert rule page is shown. The page shows alert rules that can be linked to the measurement
parameter in the selected parameter card.
You can link one of the existing alert rules, or you can create a new one.
To create a new alert rule, select Create new alert rule.
In Alert rule name, enter a descriptive name for the rule.
Select the alert activation limits and enter the limit values.
You can add both a moderate limit or critical limit depending on your requirements.
You can define High
limits, Low limits, or use both high and low limits
to alert when the value of the selected measurement parameter moves outside both
limits.
Set the Alert deactivation margin to prevent the alert from being repeatedly triggered when the value moves near the
limit. You can adjust the margin or even remove it by setting it to zero.
The Alert deactivation margin is shown on the Alert limits graphic.
Set the Alert activation delay to prevent the alert from being activated when only briefly crossing the limit. By
default, there is no activation delay.
Select Save when done.
The alert rule is linked to the
measurement parameter of the selected measurement location.
