  1. Connect DMU801 to your computer with a USB‑C cable.

    Use the USB-C cable provided by Vaisala. If you use your own cable, make sure that the cable is shielded.

  2. Open a web browser and go to the Web UI address:

    https://192.168.10.2.

  3. Web browsers do not trust a self-signed certificate. If you are logging in for the first time, the browser indicates that the connection is untrusted or insecure. Ignore the warning and continue to the site.
  4. Type the device activation code in the Activation code field.

    The device activation code is delivered with DMU801. The code is unique for each DMU801. Check that the serial number in the device activation code sticker matches the serial number of your DMU801.

    NOTICE Store the device activation code in a safe place. You have to re‑enter the code after a factory reset. If you forget or do not know the device activation code, contact Vaisala.
  5. Select Activate.
  6. After entering the correct device activation code, you are prompted to create an administrator user account. Create a username and password for the Administrator user, confirm the password, and select Create.
    NOTICE Store the username and password in a safe place. If you forget your username or password, you have to reset DMU801 to factory default settings.
    The Administrator user account is created, and the Web UI main page opens.
