To configure AWS810, connect your laptop to DMU801 with a USB‑C cable and use the web user interface with a web browser. Later, you can also connect to the DMU801 Web UI with an Ethernet or cellular connection.
The sensors included in AWS810 as well as calculations and reports related to the sensors are typically set and enabled in the configuration file at the factory. When configuring AWS810 for the first time after installation, you need to:
- Activate DMU801.
- Configure the following:
- Station-specific settings
- Communication settings
- Some sensor-specific settings
- Data reporting interfaces
Some configuration tasks are done by editing the station parameters and others by editing the specific views in the Web UI. Perform the following procedures in the order presented:
- Connect to the station and activate DMU801:
- Configure the station settings:
- Configure the relevant sensor settings:
- Configure the communication settings:
- Configure data reporting:
After the initial configuration, the configuration only needs to be changed in the following situations:
- You remove, replace, or add sensors.
- You want to change the data reporting settings.
- There is a problem with the weather station and you need to do troubleshooting.
