You can configure observation messages to be sent automatically to a local serial line connection through the following ports, if the ports are available in the weather station:
  • COM_C3_TEL (primary) for RS‑485 connection
  • COM_E4_TEL (secondary) for RS‑232/RS‑485 connection
  1. In the Web UI, go to Settings > Station parameters.
  2. Under the parameter group features, set the Active value to on for one of the following parameters. This enables the desired message format (SMSAWS or CSV) and the use of serial line for data reporting.
    • SMSAWS_SERIAL_1 or CSV_SERIAL_1 for COM_C3_TEL port
    • SMSAWS_SERIAL_2 or CSV_SERIAL_2 for COM_E4_TEL port
  3. To save the changes and take them into use, select Save and restart script.
    When the script has restarted, refresh the browser to get the changes visible.
  4. In the COM_C3_TEL or COM_E4_TEL parameter group (depending on which port you use), configure the serial line connection settings.
    baud
    Connection speed (default = 9600).
    databits
    Number of data bits used in characters (default = 8).
    stopbits
    Number of stop bits used (default = 1).
    parity
    Parity setting.
    portType
    Serial port type.
  5. To save the changes and take them into use, select Save and restart script.
