WARNING Make sure that you prepare or connect only de-energized wires.
CAUTION Make sure that the cable is properly attached to the mast or the support arm before you start the installation. Otherwise, it may slip and fall down during the installation.

The enclosure has 2 flanges on the bottom. Vaisala recommends that you lead AC (mains) current through from the left-side flange and the sensor cables from the right.

  1. Lead the cables into the enclosure using the pipette provided.
    1. Insert the pipette through one of the feed-through rondels in the flange.
    2. Insert a cable and pull it through to the inside.
      Pull the cable fully through so that there are no extra loops.

      Extra loops act like a loop antenna and pick up interference.

    In cold weather, it may be difficult to push the pipette through the openings. Use a screwdriver or similar to make the hole bigger.
  2. Check that the cable reaches the grounding rail comfortably when connected to the port.
  3. Cut the cables to proper length.
