These instructions apply to 12 V / 24 to 28 Ah batteries. The battery is delivered in a separate package.

WARNING Do not connect the battery until the system is ready for powering up.
WARNING Do not leave the battery in an environment surrounded by extremely high temperatures. Extremely high temperature can result in deflagration or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
WARNING Make sure that the battery is not subjected to an extremely low air pressure. Extremely low air pressure can result in deflagration or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
WARNING Make sure that the battery is installed in a weather-proof and ventilated enclosure.
Make sure that you connect the battery cable and the corresponding NTC resistor cable to the same battery. That is, connect the battery cable coming from BMU801 connector Batt 1 and the NTC cable next to it to the first battery. If you have a second battery in the system, connect the battery cable coming from BMU801 connector Batt 2 and the NTC cable next to it to the second battery.
  1. Remove the battery mounting clamp from the battery holder.
  2. Unpack the battery.
  3. Remove the protective covers and connectors from the battery cables.

  5. Fasten the screws tightly.
If the screws are loose, the battery will not charge, so it will not provide power to the weather station.
  6. Lift the battery to its place and attach the battery clamp.
  7. Remove the cable tie that holds the battery cables together.
  8. Insert the red battery cable into the connector in the positive ( + ) terminal in the battery.
  9. Insert the black battery cable into the connector in the negative ( ˗ ) terminal in the battery.
  10. If you have 2 batteries, repeat the procedure to install the second battery next to the first one.
