The rain gauge is supplied fully assembled
except for the 3 leveling feet. Mount the rain gauge on the RGSTAND pedestal.

Unpack the rain gauge and remove the piece of foam from under the bucket
mechanism.
| Save the foam and use it when transporting the rain gauge. |

Attach the leveling feet to the pedestal mounting brackets and fasten them with locking
nuts.

Place the rain gauge on the pedestal and attach it with hex screws and nuts (parts 3–6,
provided with RGSTAND).

Use the adjustable leveling feet to level the rain gauge. Tighten the locking
nuts.
Use the small circular spirit level on
the outside of the base of the rain gauge to check the leveling.
| Leveling is critical to
ensuring the accuracy of rainfall measurements. Failure to level the rain gauge properly
results in a systematic error. |
