The weather station enclosure is installed on a mast. The following guidelines apply:
- The enclosure is installed at eye height. The radiation shield protects the enclosure from direct sunlight and must always be used.
- The pressure sensor is located inside the enclosure.

Most sensors are installed on the mast or on the support arm. The following are exceptions:
- Precipitation sensor and ceilometer are mounted on individual pedestals away from the mast.
- Ground sensors and subsurface sensors are installed some distance from the mast.
| CAUTION To ensure system operability, install the sensors close to the mast. This reduces the risk of low signal quality as well as operating and heating voltage loss. |
