Wind calculation takes wind speed and wind direction observations as input, and calculates 3‑second averages of them once every second. The 3‑second wind speed and wind direction averages are then used as source data for further wind calculations.
Output | Description |
---|---|
DIR | Latest wind direction value |
SPD | Latest wind speed value |
WD | Latest 3‑second wind direction average |
WS | Latest 3‑second wind speed average |
WDAVG1, WDAVG2 | Wind direction average for each wind period |
WDMIN1, WDMIN2 | Wind direction minimum for each wind period |
WDMAX1, WDMAX2 | Wind direction maximum for each wind period |
WSAVG1, WSAVG2 | Wind speed average for each wind period |
WSMIN1, WSMIN2 | Wind speed minimum for each wind period |
WSMAX1, WSMAX2 | Wind speed maximum for each wind period |
WGD1, WGD2 | Wind gust direction for each wind period |
Wind calculation outputs wind direction and speed at 0 degrees when the wind speed is less than the configured calm limit (typically 0.5 m/s). When the wind speed is greater than the calm limit and the wind is from North, the output is 360 degrees. |
