The AC/DC power supply unit is a 240 W universal power supply that has been specified and tested to suit operation in harsh environments, even as cold as −40 °C (−40 °F). The power supply unit operates from the universal AC (mains) input between 100–240 V AC and 50–60 Hz. The output voltage is adjustable, and set to 24 V DC in the factory.
The power supply unit has power factor correction and short-circuit protection. Most of the output power reserve is intended to be used for sensor heating, and also for supplying measurement electronics and for charging internal backup battery.
Both the AC (mains) input and the DC output are equipped with overvoltage protection.
There are 2 power supply versions available: one for standard configuration (240 W) and another for configuration with sensor heating needs (480 W).
