WXT530 series sensors are multi-use weather measurement sensors built inside an IP66 housing. The sensors contain no moving parts. The sensors are available as heated and non-heated versions.
WXT530 is a small and lightweight transmitter that offers 6 weather parameters in one compact package. WXT530 measures pressure, temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, and wind direction.
Based on these measurements, the weather station calculates, for example, wet bulb temperature, dew point, present weather, precipitation intensity, and precipitation accumulation. The weather transmitter reports precipitation as hail or rain.
Vaisala recommends using a heated version of the transmitter in environmental conditions where snow and ice buildup are possible. When heating is on, the system controls the heating power dynamically.
