ML3 features a technique with the accuracy of ±1 % soil moisture. ML3 offers high accuracy and extended lifetime in permanent or temporary measurements of soil moisture and it also measures soil temperature.
Traditional low-cost sensors made of gypsum block dissolve even in a short period of time when exposed to high moisture. ML3 is very durable. The rods are 60 mm (2.36 in) long, and made of resilient, solid stainless steel. The rods can be unscrewed and replaced if necessary. All exposed materials are either stainless steel or durable plastic. The probes are fully sealed, which means they can be safely buried into the ground.
