The chemical curve is a model of the refractive index behavior of the process medium. It is used in calculating the Brix value from the measured nD and TEMP. The curve is defined by a set of 16 parameters.

The Sanitary OEM Refractometer is shipped with a chemical curve to show the temperature compensated Brix value of the process medium. The set of parameters is given by Vaisala and should not be altered, except in case of changing to another process medium.
