After installation, check the condition of the equipment every 3 months. If you do not detect any significant changes, you can extend the inspection interval to 6 months.
Before the visual check, clean the surfaces with fresh water and dry them. Make sure that the connectors, the screw joints, and the painted surfaces are intact.
Connectors
If there is any visible corrosion on the connectors:
- Open the connector.
- Remove the rust by wiping.
- Lubricate the connector threads with non-conductive, non-water-soluble, non-silicone-based grease.
Screw joints
If there is any rust or corrosion:
- Remove loose dirt or rust with a wire brush or a scraper and a sandpaper.
- Protect the screw joints with non-conductive, non-water-soluble, non-silicone-based grease or corrosion protective paint.
Painted surfaces
If there are damages larger than 1 mm2 on painted surfaces, follow the instructions in the product manual.
Other surfaces
Check all surfaces visually. Wipe off any incipient corrosion and apply protective grease.
