The following message settings gather all available information from data messages.
Vaisala recommends using MES 8 and the status line. MES 8 provides you with most information. MES 7 and MES 2 are messages from previous sensor generations. |
MES 8 is the most extensive message format and Vaisala recommends using it. If you have limited bandwidth or you want to use as short message as possible, use the previous generation messages.
-
To configure MES 8 with all the measurement data, use the following settings:
com1.message1.type 8 com2.message1.type 8 eth0.message1.type 8
-
To append a status line to the message, use the following settings:
com1.message1.status ON com2.message1.status ON eth0.message1.status ON
-
To enable droplet size and droplet fall speed distribution if the distrometer feature is supported (fd.product.disdro = "D"), use the following settings:
messages.mes8.line4enable ON messages.mes8.line5enable ON
If the disdrometer is not supported (fd.product.disdro = "N"), Vaisala recommends configuring the settings OFF. If they are not disabled, the output values will be invalid.
-
If HMP155, LM21, or a day/night switch is connected, use the following settings:
com3.lm21.data ON com3.hmp155.data ON io1.daynightinput.data ON
