FD70 status word is an optional line in the FD70 MES 7 and MES 8 data messages. Status word provides information on functional and operational settings, alerts on maintenance needs, as well as alerts on HW failures with detailed failure codes.

Each status flag has a value according to its severity level:

  • 0 (0x30) = OK: Normal operation
  • I (0x49) = Info: Normal operation with some remarks
  • W (0x57) = Warning: Some actions are recommended; however, the measurements are still valid
  • A (0x41) = Alarm: Either failure or need for immediate maintenance action; the measurements are invalidated in case of Alarm

Value range of each flag may vary from all levels (0, I, W, A) to less. For example, some flags may have (0, I) as values.

Flags that are defined, but not implemented yet have a fixed value (0).

Flags reserved for future have a fixed value (0).

For more information on the function of each character number, see the section about status messages in FD70 Configuration and Maintenance Guide (M212222EN).

If the com1/2.message1.status parameter is set to ON (see the Parameters section in FD70 Configuration and Maintenance Guide (M212222EN)), then a status row is appended as a new row to MES 7 and MES 8 messages.

Electronics failures on a module or sub-unit level are represented as three‑ or five‑digit failure codes beginning with a delimiter + (000 … FFF or 0 0000 … FFFFF).
