Optimus DGA Monitor OPT100 is a device for monitoring the internal condition of an electrical transformer using dissolved gas analysis (DGA), also known as fault gas analysis. The device is intended to be installed next to the transformer, and connected to it by two oil lines. The device is suitable for outdoor or indoor use. The device draws oil from a transformer, measures the concentrations of hydrogen, moisture, and several hydrocarbons in the oil, and returns the oil back to the transformer.

Measurement results can be transferred via communication interfaces to the substation's SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system. The data is also available for viewing by human operators through the browser-based user interface.

The OPT100 Optimus DGA Monitor consists of two separate units; the DGA monitor and the power supply unit. The DGA monitor contains the entire oil monitoring system and all control systems and is powered by 24 V DC. The power supply unit houses all mains parts and delivers 24 V DC operating voltage to the DGA monitor. Power supply unit is available for AC supply voltage and DC supply voltage.
