In maritime installations according to IEC 60945, the WXT530 series belongs to the installation category C, which means that it is exposed to weather.

When making maritime installations, note the following:

  • Do not install WXT530 near a magnetic compass. The compass safe distance is 5 m (16 ft 5 in). The transmitter must be installed in open space to avoid disturbance in measurements.
  • Do not place WXT530 directly in front of a radar.
  • Do not install WXT530 next to a powerful RF-transmitter antenna.
