If you already have WXT530, you need an RS-485 connection to use the Modbus protocol. You can change the communication parameters with the Vaisala WXT530 Configuration Tool, or, by using WXT530 command line with a terminal software.

- Make sure the firmware is 3.85, or newer. If not, update the firmware.
- Change from the CLI mode to the Modbus mode
